Treklang
In the project “Treklang”, the sound of the gong as a source of inspiration for visual expression and the role of the artist as a processing channel are being explored. While the gong is being played, unconscious images emerge, which build the base of the paintings. The playing technique used for the gong is called “White Sound” and is comparable to the extreme forms of ebb and flow: The gong gradually rises from silence to an overwhelmingly loud climax and then gradually returns to silence again. Different motifs and moods emerge depending on the phases of the gong performance and the artist’s state of mind.
